Troubleshooting

When it doesn't render

The handful of things that actually go wrong with this builder, and what fixes each one.

The shortcode shows as plain text on the live page

Why
The shortcode was pasted into a widget that outputs raw text instead of running shortcodes — usually a Heading, or a Text Editor widget in a template that bypasses the_content filter.
Fix
Move it into Elementor's dedicated Shortcode widget. That widget calls do_shortcode directly, so it renders regardless of how the template handles content.

The map is invisible or collapses to zero height

Why
The section it sits in has a fixed height, or overflow set to hidden, so the map renders but is clipped by its parent.
Fix
Set the section height to Fit To Content and clear any min-height on the column. The map sizes itself to its container, so it needs the container to size itself to content.

The map is the wrong width inside a popup, tab, or accordion

Why
The container was hidden when the page first loaded, so there was no width to measure at initialisation.
Fix
The map re-measures when its container becomes visible. If a stale width persists, avoid display:none on the wrapper — use Elementor's own popup and tab controls, which toggle visibility in a way the map detects.

Edits to a project don't appear on the front end

Why
Elementor serves a cached CSS and HTML bundle per page, and most host-level page caches sit in front of that.
Fix
Run Elementor → Tools → Regenerate CSS & Data, then purge your hosting or plugin cache. Flat status changes appear immediately once the page cache is cleared.
