Troubleshooting
When it doesn't render
The handful of things that actually go wrong with this builder, and what fixes each one.
The shortcode appears as text instead of a map
- Why
- It was pasted into a Text module. Divi's Text module runs content through the editor's formatting, which can wrap or escape the brackets before WordPress sees them.
- Fix
- Use the Code module instead. It passes content through untouched, which is what a shortcode needs.
The map looks unstyled or half-rendered after an update
- Why
- Divi's Static CSS File Generation caches a combined stylesheet per page and does not always rebuild it when a plugin's assets change.
- Fix
- Go to Divi → Theme Options → Builder → Advanced and click Clear Static CSS File. This is the single most common fix for display problems on Divi sites.
The map is missing inside a Divi popup or toggle
- Why
- The module was placed in a container that Divi keeps collapsed until interaction, so the map had no measurable width at load.
- Fix
- The map re-measures when the container opens. If it still looks wrong, open the toggle by default once to confirm the shortcode itself renders, then re-collapse it.
The Visual Builder shows the raw shortcode
- Why
- Divi's Visual Builder does not execute third-party shortcodes inside the Code module while editing.
- Fix
- This is expected and not a fault. Save and view the page on the front end — the map renders there. Use the Divi wireframe view while building.
