How to add an interactive floor plan to WordPress
A static floor plan image answers 'what does the layout look like?' but nothing else. An interactive floor plan lets buyers click on each room or unit to see its size, price, and availability — turning a passive image into a decision-making tool. Here is how to create one in WordPress without writing any code.

Follow these steps
Install the Interactive Real Estate plugin
Go to Plugins → Add New in your WordPress admin, search for 'Interactive Real Estate', and install the free version from WordPress.org. Activate it to see the IRE Projects menu.
Upload your floor plan image
Create a new IRE project and upload your floor plan as the background image. Use a high-resolution JPEG or PNG for the best polygon editing experience. The image can be any layout — apartment, office, hotel, or custom space.
Trace polygon zones over each room or unit
The built-in polygon editor lets you click to place vertices directly on the image. Trace the boundaries of each room, apartment, or zone. You can zoom in with Ctrl+scroll and pan with Space+drag for precise work.
Fill in the details for each zone
For each polygon, enter a label, description, price, area, and any other details you want buyers to see. You can also set a status (available, reserved, sold) and a custom click action.
Choose what happens when a zone is clicked
By default, clicking a polygon opens a detail popup. You can instead redirect to a URL, open a booking form, or fire a custom JavaScript function — all configured per polygon from the admin.
Embed with a shortcode
Copy the shortcode from the editor (e.g. [irep_project id="5"]) and paste it into any WordPress page, post, or template. The interactive floor plan is live immediately — no publish-then-rebuild step.
