How to create a clickable building map in WordPress
A clickable building map lets buyers explore your development unit by unit directly on your website — without calling your sales team. This guide walks through the full setup using Interactive Real Estate, from uploading your building render to embedding the finished map on a page.

Install Interactive Real Estate on your WordPress site
Download the free plugin from WordPress.org or install it directly from Plugins → Add New. Activate it — you'll see IRE Projects appear in the left admin menu.
Create a project for your building
Click IRE Projects → Add New. Name the project after your development. Upload your building exterior render or site plan as the background image. You can use a floor plan, a rendered elevation, or a top-down site plan.
Add floors and blocks if your project has multiple
For multi-storey or multi-block developments, add a floor for each level. You can upload a different image per floor — buyers navigate between floors using a built-in floor selector control.
Draw a polygon over each apartment or zone
Click the polygon tool and click around the outline of each apartment on the image. The editor automatically closes the polygon when you click the first vertex again. Draw one polygon per unit.
Enter flat details and set availability status
For each polygon, fill in the apartment name, price, area, rooms, and current status. Status determines the polygon colour — green/available, orange/reserved, red/sold — all customisable in project settings.
Publish and embed the map
The shortcode (e.g. [irep_project id="3"]) appears in the lower-left of the editor. Copy it and paste it into your page — Gutenberg, Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, or any shortcode-capable editor. The clickable building map is live instantly.
